Nordstrom
Nordstrom is my go-to department store. I know that when I go I’ll be receiving the best customer service and a great product that they’ll stand behind. Nordstrom that we know and love today actually started off as Wallin and Nordstrom, a shoe store in 1901 in downtown Seattle. It wasn’t until the 1960′s that Nordstrom started to sell apparel and later changed the name to Nordstrom Best. The company continued to grow along with its loyal fan base and in 1971 went public and changed the name one last time to Nordstrom, Inc. Nordstrom today still runs on the same philosophy it started off with from John W. Nordstrom- offer the customer the best possible service, selection, quality and value.

Customized Ugg Boots & Weekend Photos
Hey Everyone!
Did you have an awesome weekend?
Here’s my weekend in photos! And I’ll show you how we got my mama’s new Ugg boots customized at Nordstrom’s holiday party last night!
We finally found a bar cabinet that we like! The building instructions were complete crap but Hubs managed to figure it out and put this thing together. Yay for more kitchen counter space for me and a home for Hubs’ drinks!
We went to a Korean BBQ restaurant and discovered that they now have infrared grills! How crazy is that? Apparently, this is “SO 6 months ago” but I was still amazed, haha.
Hubs says that meat is always a thumbs up!
And that salad is a thumbs down!
But in actuality the salad was SO good! He loved it!
I think we’ll definitely be going back to this Korean restaurant again.
Santa sighting at the mall!! Hehe
Look at him trying to sneak away into the elevator!
And lastly, yesterday was my dear Mama’s birthday! YAY!
We celebrated with dinner then some shopping at the Nordstrom Holiday Shopping Party.
It was our first time so we were pretty impressed with the champagne and appetizers that they served while we shopped.
I felt fancy, haha.
ALSO, they had an UGG Hot Pen Event which worked out perfectly since my mama wanted new UGG boots for her birthday present!
The hot penning was complementary for the first 15 customers that wanted it.
He draws by hand! Amazing!
Mama chose a little bunny on one side and her last name on the other.
And just in case you wanted to see it actually being done, Hubs decided to record a bit of it for you!
Wishing you all a wonderful start to the week!

Longchamp Le Pliage Tote – My Favorite Travel Bag
I was sipping my french toast coffee this morning dreaming about my next vacation when I was inspired to share with you my favorite travel bag and travel wallet. I’m all about functionality and staying organized and these two guys are just that! They were always by my side in Bermuda and NY this summer. **This post was getting way too long trying to fit both my favorite travel bag and wallet so I’ll need to split them up! Travel wallet post to come shortly!**
Let’s start with my travel bag and staple airport carry-on. It’s my large Longchamp Le Pliage in black.
Longchamp Le Pliage – Large | $145 at Nordstrom
Here’s mine completely flattened out.
Looks really small in this photo!
The back
Folded up!
Now stuffed!
And let me list off the many reasons why this is the ultimate carry-on, travel bag!
- It’s super light weight! I usually stick whatever didn’t fit in my suitcase into my carry-on so I don’t need my bag to be heavy on top of everything I’m carrying in it! It’s probably the lightest bag that I own.
- The top is zippered. I’ve had a bad experience with a purse that did not have a zippered top tip over on a flight and everything rolling out under my seat! Not fun at all. Now all my carry-on bags must fully zip closed. Also, it’s added security when you’re walking around in touristy areas.
- It’s durable! I’ve had my Longchamp for a year and a half now and I’ve used it A LOT carrying A LOT of weight! The straps are still looking great and I don’t see any wear-tear on it!
- It folds up! This is a pretty awesome feature because let’s say that I buy a new bag while I’m on vacation (fingers-crossed, haha). Well, then I can just fold up my Longchamp and easily store it in my suitcase. Easy-peasy and takes up no room at all!
- It’s easy to maintain! Stains are easy to wipe off and I’m not afraid to put it on the ground at the airport (unlike if I was carrying a Louie). Also, I got caught in a huge rainstorm in New York and my bag got completely drenched! All I had to do was let it dry overnight and it was as good as new in the morning.
- And looks great! Seriously, the design is so clean that it goes with so many different outfits. I don’t have to worry about bringing a ton of different bags! Score!
My list is pretty convincing right?
An added bonus is that I use my bag year round and not just for travel. I use it to carry my laptop (13″ macbook pro), just when I’m out and about and maybe want to bring a light sweater or even when I go to the gym. I’ve seen some friends use this bag as a baby bag too!
If you’re looking for a travel bag or just a great tote to own, I highly recommend the Longchamp Le Pliage! I really want one in beige! **ahem ahem, Hubs, hehe!**
Hope you’re all having an amazing day!

Topshop Is Coming to Nordstrom!
Happy Friday Everyone!
What better way to celebrate the end of the week than hearing some exciting news (Thanks Hem for sharing)! Topshop is coming to Nordstrom!! I’m really excited since I’ve always loved Topshop but hate trying to order clothes online. I want to know the fit and the feel of the fabric before purchasing clothes. And shipping/returns can be such a hassel… This is going to make Topshop so much more accessible and also bring more awareness to the brand!
Anyway, here is the list of Nordstroms that will be welcoming Topshop soon! Click here for the original article.

Happy Spring! <3
Ah, beautiful flowers are blooming, the sun is shining and there’s a cool fresh breeze! It is definitely Spring!
For those of you lucky enough to have Spring break, I hope you had/are/will be having a blast! I wish I was in Tahiti right now (picture above)! I’ve never been but it’s one of the places that I must must visit! Hopefully sometime soon.. (^ v ^).

I saw this set at sephora.com and thought it was such an awesome deal and perfect for a Spring break trip! You get $105 worth of product for only $35! I paid $28 for my Hoola bronzer and I currently use it as my go-to daily bronzer. Considering the fact that I think it was totally worth paying $28 for my Hoola bronzer, this set is a STEAL!
I’ve also been looking around for Spring dresses and this is one of my favs from nordstrom.com. Pair it with these super cute sandals and you’re good to go!

Today Max (my BF) and I had lunch at a Brazilian buffet called Ipanemas. If you’re a carnivore and are visiting Seattle, you definitely should check out this restaurant. You go get your own veggies and fresh sides. Then once you’re back at your table, you have a little coaster like card that is green on one side and red on the other. If the card is flipped green on your table, the servers will come by with tender, just cooked, meats. When you want them to stop, or give you a break, you simply turn the card around to red. It was absolutely delicious! Afterward we walked around the Pike Place Market, got us some donuts, looked at the beautiful flower bouquets and then headed home. The day was perfect! (Thank you Maximus!)
What did you do today?
