Buxom Big & Healthy Lip Polish Swatches in Bunny, Sandy & Amber
I don’t know why I’m always so slow to review my favorite everyday products but I’m finally going to share with you my holy grail lipgloss, Buxom Big & Healthy Lip Polish. These have been my absolute favorite for the past 4-5 years and I always have at least one in my makeup bag at all times.
Buxom Big & Healthy Lip Polish $19
Top – bottom: Buxom Sandy, Amber and Bunny
Sandy, Amber and Bunny
Below swatches from top to bottom are Sandy, Amber and Bunny
Sandy is pink nude shade with tiny silver shimmer
This looks great over MAC Myth or Revlon Soft Nude for the perfect nude lips
Amber is a soft shimmering peach shade with gold shimmer
Bunny is an innocent pink shade
I like wearing this one throughout the day on my nude lips since it’s the most pigmented
I also like wearing this gloss over MAC Everhip or MAC Plink lipstick.
So what makes these Buxom Big & Healthy Lip Polishes so great? They’re super moisturizing and I know I can apply them on my dry lips throughout the day for instant relief and to polish up my look. It leaves your lips looking smooth and plump. Also, I like the fresh tingly feeling on my lips and the yummy vanilla-y scent that I’m actually fond of. Unlike other lipglosses, I never need a mirror to apply it. I can just swipe it over my lips and smack them together a couple times and I know it looks good. The Buxom lip polishes lasts 3-4 hours on my lips depending on how much I eat and drink. The longevity is nothing to boast about but it’s so quick and easy to apply with the soft doe foot applicator. I can literally re-gloss while I’m walking around.
The one thing that I wish Buxom would improve is the packaging. I like the shape of the bottle but as you can tell in the pictures the writing always eventually scratches off. My Buxom Bunny tube is actually completely clear with no writing on it probably because I carry this one around with me the most. I don’t mind the no-writing look, I just don’t like the way it looks while the writing is scratching off. You can see what I’m talking about in the first photo.
I wear the Buxom Big & Healthy lip polishes all the time and these are probably the only lipglosses that I end up repurchasing because I actually finish them! I’m surprised I haven’t picked up any other shades but I’m pretty happy with Sandy, Amber and Bunny since I can wear them by themselves for moisture or I can top any lipstick with them for more shine. If I were to pick up a new shade I’d probably go with Buxom Sugar which is a rose beige. That would look great on top of a nude Fall shade lipstick. Sephora is a great place to go to try all of them out!
Have you ever tried Buxom lip polishes? If so, which is your favorite shade? Let me know in the comments below.
Wishing you a BEAUTYFULL evening!
