Louis Vuitton
Louis Vuitton (www.louisvuitton.com)was founded in 1854 by none other than Louis Vuitton. **Fun Fact: The company actually started out selling luggage. The iconic monogram canvas print was later created to ward off any duplication but today Louis Vuitton is one of the highest counterfeited brands out there. With counterfeit goods comes a ton of misspellings. Look out for the following misspellings of the Louis Vuitton brand name: Louis Vitton, Loui Vuitton, Luis Vuitton, Louise Vuitton, Lui Vuitton, Louie Vuitton and my favorite…Luis Vuiton.
In 1997, Marc Jacobs became the Artistic Director and introduced several new changes such as a men’s/women’s clothing line and the Monogram Vernis line. Fast forward several years later and he is now one of the most iconic designers, but still lightyears behind the famous LV brand.
I love seeing people carry around LV bags. I always observe and take note on if I’d want that bag in the future. The most common LV bags are the Speedys and the Neverfulls which happen to be the most price friendly and are considered the “starter” bags. I started out with my Louis Vuitton Galliera PM which I absolutely love but I’d love to one day own the “starter” bags as well since they are so iconic and timeless.

Oregon Haul Fall 2012
Man, I’ve really forgotten how hard it is to raise a puppy! I’ve been exhausted from not getting sleep at night and constantly keeping my eyes on our little one. Good news though, we think she’s learned the sit command. Now if she’d only learn her name… :] It’s been a challenge trying to juggle blogging with Roo, working out and house work but I’m praying it’ll get easier as the weeks go by.
Roo is being good right now just snoozing away while Mom and Dad work!
I wanted to show you guys what I got during my Oregon trip! I love shopping in Oregon because there is no tax (woohoo!) but this trip we tried to really stick with our shopping list!
I finally got the Louis Vuitton Speedy 30 Bandouliere! When I went into the store I was debating between this bag and the LV Neverfull MM but Hubs ended up liking the Speedy 30 B better so I went with this one. My thoughts so far: It’s really convenient to use because of the long strap. I also learned that you can carry this bag THREE different ways- I had only known of two. It’s much slouchier than I thought so I’ll be getting a bag organizer soon to gives the inside more shape. I’ll do a full review in the next week or so.
I also finally got my laptop case! It’s such a pretty rose color! It did unfortunately add some weight to my laptop but it’s not too bad and I figure it’ll just make my arms stronger, haha. I’m using this photo instead of the real thing to capture the true color. It’s gloomy here in Seattle today!

The last thing that I got while I was in Oregon was a couple more Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains in Honey and Charm. Ulta was having a buy 1 get 1 50% off and I also had my coupon for $5 off so I ended up getting both for $8.48! Sweet! Review coming soon!

And that’s it! Since we spent a ton of money on Roo the past couple of weeks I’m gonna try to slow down on my shopping. No worries though, I still have lots to share with you guys from my current collection!
Wishing you all a fantastic Thursday
PS. Can’t believe it’s Thursday already!!!!

ABD News: Volume 2 – August 15, 2012
Good morning from ABD News- providing you with makeup and fashion news updates from around the globe!
Thanks for joining me again this morning! I hope your Wednesday is off to a great start!
Have you heard that YSL is out with a Facebook eyeshadow palette? Yes, you heard me read that right- Facebook! The “Devoted to Fans Palette” includes 4 shades- violet, black, white and of course the iconic Facebook blue. I love YSL and to me that brand means luxury and glamour. And I’m a regular Facebook user- probably checking it too often throughout the day. But in my honest opinion, I’m not a “fan” of this palette. Facebook is for everyone while YSL targets a very specific market. Not sure that YSL fans will LIKE this one nor will the general Facebook audience be willing to dish $55 for this eyeshadow palette.

Michael Kors has been hot this quarter nearly tripling their first quarter profits while other designer brands like Coach are struggling. While Coach was once THE designer brand that the everyday woman could obtain, it looks like there is a shift in demand and women are now moving on to Michael Kors. To me the Coach brand has diminished over the years by becoming extremely common (at every outlet I’ve ever seen) and too counterfeited. While in high school I loved this brand but I don’t find myself craving their bags like I used to. Don’t get me wrong, Coach still comes out with excellent products and seriously high quality items. I still love their cute wristlets. But honestly I’d rather have a Michael Kors bag now than a Coach. And no, it’s not JUST because Michael Kors has the same initials as my Hubs, MK (although this might have been the reason why I bought my first MK bag…)

And lastly for this morning’s news- Singapore has been listed the wealthiest nation in the world by GDP per capita (full article here)! You might be wondering why this is in the ABD News… Well, it’s because 1. I wanted an excuse to show you their Ah-MAZING Louis Vuitton store/island and 2. because I decide what news (or what I consider to be news) to share with you!
Isn’t this place amazing? Okay, it’s not really an island. It’s actually a floating store. But makes sense that the wealthiest nation also has the most fancy-pants Louis Vuitton store, right? I’d love to visit here one day and of course I wouldn’t be able to leave without a souvenir of my visit.

Would you buy the Facebook YSL lovechild eyeshadow palette? Which brand do you prefer- Coach or Michael Kors? And is there any particular Louis Vuitton store that you’d love to visit one day? Let me know in the comments below!
I hope this has been informative with a touch of entertaining!
Wishing you a wonderful, fantastic and of course BEAUTYFULL Wednesday!

ABD News: Volume 1 – August 14, 2012
Good morning from ABD News- providing you with makeup and fashion news updates from around the globe!
Thanks for joining me this morning! I hope it’s off to a great start!
Let’s begin with the announcement that Michael Phelps, the most highly decorated Olympian in history, is now the newest spokesperson for Louis Vuitton! It’ll be interesting to see if we’ll be seeing Michael sporting some new Louie bags out and about town soon! Or if him being the new Louis Vuitton spokesman will increase their profits the next couple quarters particularly in the men’s department. On a side note: To see this LV bag on the ground so close to the tub makes me uneasy. I would never dare do that to my Louie!

Next, Mariah Carey has signed on not only to be a judge for the next season of American Idol, but to join forces with O.P.I and launch her own nail polish collection. I picture lots of glamorous sparkles and bold colors to come but we’ll see come January of next year!
And for the last story of this morning- has Kristen Stewart’s unfaithfulness cost her her relationship with Balenciaga? There was some mystery behind whether Kristen would still be the face of Florabotanica fragrance campaign but sources are saying that all rumors are untrue.
Do you think that Kristen Stewart’s cheating scandal will negatively affect Balenciaga’s Florabotanica fragrance sales? Or do you think that her Twilight fans will be able to forgive and continue to support her? What Louis Vuitton bag do you think Michael Phelps will be seen carrying around? Any guesses on names that Mariah Carey will use for her new O.P.I collection? Let me know in the comments below!!

My Louis Vuitton Galliera PM Review
Happy Hump Day All!
I hope your week is going wonderfully! If it’s one of those slow weeks for you, don’t worry you’re halfway through and doing great! Keep it up and it’ll be the weekend in no time!
Obama was in Seattle yesterday and I think today. Max and I were driving home from a friend’s home last night when we saw all of the southbound freeway shut down and dozens of cops everywhere! Max says he saw a line of black SUVs driving so perhaps we were that close to Obama! Pretty cool!
I think it’s finally time to review my Louis Vuitton Galliera PM in Monogram print. I honestly don’t know why it’s taken this long!
First of all, I love it, haha! No seriously, I’m really happy that I chose the Louis Vuitton Galliera design as my first LV bag. Some of the other Louis Vuitton designs I feel are very plain. The LV Galliera has lining that gives it more of an interesting shape. It looks very complete to me.
Size: The Galliera PM is a great size for everyday use and if I need to I can actually stuff quite a lot in there! The exact measurements are 16.54Wx 11.42H x 6.69D inches. For reference, I’m 5’3″.
Weight: The bag itself is not that heavy for a designer handbag. If I have a lot in there it can get heavy but thankfully there is a pretty wide shoulder strap that distributes the weight.
Price: $1,580. Pretty steep but I use it a lot and I know I’ll be keeping it for years and years. While it’s fun to buy cheaper fashion bag for under $50, they don’t last very long and the trend passes quickly. I think of the Louis Vuitton Galliera bag as an investment since the design will never go out-of-style and it’s high quality. Maybe I can even pass it down to my future daughter?
Things to Consider:
As I mentioned above about the thick strap- it’s great if you’re carrying a lot that day but on a normal day I wish it was a bit thinner. Sometimes the strap twists when I put it on my shoulder and it’s a hassle to have to adjust it because it’s quite thick.
The metallic plate with the Louis Vuitton signature is fancy but be careful on super hot days- that baby can get hot! I’ve placed my arm on that plate on a hot day and flinched it away because of the heat.
The canvas body feels stiff when you first buy it but it starts to soften with use. Also the straps will be incredibly light. The leather will patina (get darker) with use and time. I personally love the honey brown color that the leather straps become over time. It makes the bag look more vintage. In these photos my bag has been in use for around 9 months.

My LV Future?
This is my very first Louis Vuitton bag and I adore it! I seemed to have skipped the two that are considered the “starter” LV bags- the Speedy and the Neverfull. I know that many girls have these two bags which should deter me from wanting them… but it doesn’t. They are so iconic. I especially love seeing a well used Monogram Speedy. It makes me think of old-time London (I don’t know why London and not Paris, haha). If I’m graciously gifted any more LVs in the future from dear Hubs, I’ll definitely post more reviews for you and comparisons.
Thanks for reading my super long review. Let me know if you have any questions regarding this bag!

Louis Vuitton Zippy Wallet Review
Hi everyone!
Today I wanted to review my fairly new wallet, the Louis Vuitton Zippy Wallet. I debated for a long time between the Zippy Wallet and the Zippy Organizer (which I can’t find online anymore btw). I definitely knew that I wanted the continental full zip-around style since I’ve never had one before. I finally decided that I wanted the Zippy because it was smaller, lighter and easier to use with one hand since it doesn’t flop open all the way. It’s very durable and fits 8 cards, cash, coins, receipts and etc. I love all the different little compartments that help me organize since everything has its own place. I CAN fit my iphone in it and zip it up all the way but it starts to distort the shape of the wallet so I don’t try very often. I know that I’ll be using this for many years to come unlike my other wallets that I’d use for 6m-1 year. Now that I’m in my upper twenties now I guess I need to go for quality versus quantity, haha.
Sorry for the rambling- onto the pictures! Look how awesome this came out with my new lightbox!
What style of wallet do you like to use? How long have you had your wallet? Let me know and I hope you have a BEAUTYFULL day!
