Weekend Oregon Trip
Happy Monday everyone!
How was your weekend? Hubs and I spent the weekend in Oregon! For our 1 year anniversary last year we went to a little town called Silverton and had a wonderful time. We missed the beautiful wine country so we decided to take a short weekend trip back.
One thing I didn’t really think about when planning this trip was the long car ride. I’m usually great on road trips but I forgot to consider my morning sickness. My morning sickness had gotten a lot better the past couple weeks so I thought I was in the clear. Apparently my body does not appreciate long early morning car rides.
We stayed 2 nights at the Silverton Inn and Suite. It’s a super cute little Inn right in town. We loved that we could walk to all the little stores without having to drive and look for parking.
I do have to say that I wasn’t very impressed with our room. It was poorly ventilated and could have really used a face light. By the end of our trip I was ready to come back to our wonderful home.
Here’s their cute theater that only plays 1 movie at a time. How awesome is that poster clock that tells you when the next showing is??
We had lunch at the one Mexican restaurant in town, haha. It was actually pretty good!!
I’m smelling Hubs’ coffee since I’m trying to refrain from consuming it as much as possible.
Hubs pretending to sleep on the Inn’s recliner, haha
We of course had to pick up a couple bottles of my absolute favorite wine, Pudding River Riesling, which we will save for after baby is born.
We did do a lot more like eat good food (and some not so good food) and tax-free shopping (hello maternity jeans) but I’m so bad at taking photos in general! I tell myself to be better about it but I just forget! It’s like I need to set some kind of reminder on my phone… or wear a reminder bracelet, haha. I dunno, hopefully I get much better once baby arrives!!
Overall I’d totally recommend checking out the wine country in Oregon. It’s so beautiful and peaceful! Plus there are lots of wineries that offer tastings if you enjoy doing that. Our mini-trip was fun but we definitely had more fun our first time there. Next Oregon trip we take we’ll be staying in downtown Portland. :]
How are you about taking photos throughout your day? Does it come naturally to you? Let me know in the comments below.
Wishing you a BEAUTYFULL Monday!
