Update | What Have I Been Up To?
It’s been 2-3 weeks since my last post! I’m sorry. What have I been doing? Honestly??
Here’s the reason why I’ve been MIA…….
Max has created a monster! A 24 monster to be exact! This is probably Max’s favorite TV show of all time and he has been telling me for years to watch it. So I finally decided to give it a shot and now look at me! I can’t stop watching it! Darn you Jack Bauer, why must watching you save our country over and over again be so addicting?!? So I’m currently on Season 6 and am liking it so far. Many people have told me that it goes downhill from Season 5 but I’m liking it.
In other news, Max and I bought our KitchenAid this past weekend! WOOHOO!! The funniest thing is that Max is OBSESSED with it! Want to know why?? He LOVES the color and sparkly finish. He calls it “Iron Man Red” while the rest of us know it as “Candy Apple Red” puhahaha!
There was this cookie recipe that I’d been wanting to try for a while so we decided to give it a go with our KitchenAid. OMG! The cookies were AMAZING!!! My mouth is watering just thinking about it now…. If you like cakey, non-salty chocolate chip cookies, this is the recipe for you! http://www.marthastewart.com/263836/cakey-chocolate-chip-cookies
Lastly, a bit of a wedding update! I bought my dress last week!!! YIPPEEEE!!! I really was starting to feel hopeless as I tried on dress after dress trying to find the “one”. I was questioning whether I’d ever find it when I FINALLY did! It’s like the heavens parted and angels began to sing! Okay, I kid, I kid but I am pretty dang excited about it! I wish I could show you now but since Max checks my blog I’ll have to refrain. :)
Wow 2 posts in one day! What a treat for you! Haha! I’ll try harder to keep you updated. I know that I owe you some more updates on my mascara reviews and also some hauls.
More coming soon!

Out With The Old, In With The New!
Skin, that is! I just got out of the tub from an Ah-mazing bath! I was feeling pretty overwhelmed earlier today and it had been a while since I got to relax so it was definitely long overdue!
Now, what constitutes an “Ah-mazing” bath for me? It’s when I feel relaxed, refreshed & renewed! Here are the necessary essentials for a PERFECT bath!
1. My all time favorite, L’Occiane Green Tea Fizzy Sugar Cube – smells glorious, turns the water into a beautiful jade and doesn’t film on your skin.
2. A large water bottle full of ice water to keep you hydrated – prevents you from feeling tired/groggy by the end of the bath. I used my Starbucks plastic cup!
3. Italy Towel (Korean bath massage towel) – by far the best way to scrub away dead skin cells leaving you with baby soft skin everywhere! I absolutely love this and cannot take a bath without it. You can purchase one at your local asian store. I think I bought a pack of 3 for $1.
4. My laptop – Haha! Either I’ll put on Pandora with some relaxing piano music OR turn on a movie.
Today’s bath time entertainment choice was “Eat, Pray, Love”. It ended up being the perfect selection! I’m only through the Italy portion of the movie so far but I’m now inspired to travel the world, eat wonderful food while writing about my experiences. Of course I can’t live the exact life that the author did now that I’m engaged but my darling can come along with me to share in the experiences! I’m so excited!!
Happy Monday everyone!

Sephora Favorites Lash Stash Mascara Deluxe Sampler
For my birthday, I received the Sephora Favorites Lash Stash Mascara Deluxe Sampler. It was perfect timing too! My current holy grail mascara, Fiberwig, was just about out and I was feeling a bit open to exploring other options. The Sampler contains Hourglass, Urban Decay, Korres, Benefit, Smashbox, Laura Mercier, Fresh, Sephora, Tarte and Cargo.
I’ve decided to do a review series on each mascara and let you know which ones end up being my faves!
I’ll probably test each mascara for about a week before writing a review. I find that my feelings for a mascara often changes with time. Some mascaras start off wonderful and then quickly go downhill the 2nd, 3rd day. Others are horrible the first application but get better with time. Is that only me? Well regardless, I’m excited to try each and let you guys know what I think!
Wedding Planning Update
The past week week Max and I got our wedding party finalized! Yay! I’m really excited to throw some get togethers where they can all get to know each other. Our gift registry is almost complete (minus our flatware and knives). Things that I’d like to have completed next:
- Make cake taste testing appointments (cupcakes versus cake)
- Make appointment with 2 wedding dress boutiques
- Finalize wedding colors (currently leaning towards different shades of purple, white, and green)
Here are some pictures that I find inspiring:
I think the most stressful part right now is finding a wedding dress. I just want to put one on and feel like “Ah! This is the one!”. Unfortunately, that hasn’t happened yet! Sigh… there are boutiques to check out so there is still hope! Plus, I have an appointment with a fitness trainer tomorrow so I hope that’ll help me start my road towards my best body ever! I’m contemplating about blogging my fitness journey… would you like to follow me during the next 7 months before my wedding day?
Happy Sunday!!
