My head feels so much lighter | My new haircut!
I got a haircut today!! I seriously feel like so much weight has been taken off of my head and shoulders- what a relief! I’m not sure how many inches were taken off… but it’s at least 4-6 inches. The style is very simple and I think it makes me look older. The hope is that I’ll style my hair more often now that I have less of it. We shall see, haha. What do you think?
I feel bad that the last few posts didn’t have much content on it. So here is a swatch that I did a while ago. Just in case you were wondering what MAC’s Cream Colour Base in Pearl looked like:
MAC Cream Colour Base in Pearl | $16.50
The reason I made this purchase a while back was because I was looking for a highlighter. People with oily skin (like me) need to be careful when highlighting. It can either make your skin look glowy or oilier. I tend to skip highlighting my cheekbones (except when I’m not in a rush- rare) but do use this to highlight my brow bone. I’ve tried applying it with a brush like the counter girl suggested but I found that my brush bristles were falling out and getting stuck in the pot – gross. So I’ve been using my fingers to apply which I haven’t really enjoyed doing. I realize that I prefer powder over cream. When it comes to speed and application, I just find powder easier to work with. Overall, I don’t think I’ll be purchasing this again.
Here are some other highlighters that have been on my mind.
theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer | $24
Out of all the Lumizers at Sephora, I thought this was the prettiest. I didn’t buy it only because they were sold out at the time. I might try this out soon as the weather starts to warm up.
NARS Blush in Albatross | $26
One of my besties, Ellen, uses this as a highlighter and it looks lovely on her tan olive skin. I haven’t swatched it yet, but since Ellen approves of it, it’s worth checking out! (^ v ^). Speaking of Ellen, she gave me my birthday present this weekend (yes, my birthday was in February, haha) and it was a Sephora gift card. MY FAVORITE!! (thanks Ellen!) This means that I will be spending time on Sephora.com trying to figure out what I would like to try out next. Maybe it’ll be the Mary-Lou Manizer… hehe
Happy Beautyfull Monday!

My new wallet! <3
Hello! In case you were wondering, I decided to go with this wallet!
Kate Spade Jane Street Barrett
I was thinking about getting the larger version of this wallet, but I’ve been looking for a wallet this size for a very long time. I’ve been having a hard time finding smaller zip-around wallets these days so decided to go with this one. Can’t wait for it to arrive! (^ v ^)

Like Kate Spade?
Quick post! I just wanted to share that Kate Spade is having a friends and family sale. Get 30% off your entire purchase now through tomorrow with the promo code: FRIENDLY30. I’ve been searching for a full zip around wallet for a while and I think I’m going to get the Jane Street Neda wallet in black. Enjoy and let me know if you do purchase something!

Maybelline Colossal Mascara Review
I don’t know why I did it. Maybe I was just overwhelmed by all the new products in the aisle before me… maybe it was my attempt to live a more frugal life… I don’t know why, but I cheated on my faithful Fiberwig mascara for Maybelline’s Colossal Mascara.
I’ve learned that I shouldn’t leave the product that I love. I find this mascara to be VERY clumpy. The stay power was pretty good although it’s not waterproof. It’s definitely cheaper than my beloved Fiberwig. But in the end, being affectionately nicknamed “clumpy” for the rest of the day by Max is definitely not worth it. haha
Here is what it looked like on me after about 5 hours of wear:
Clumpy huh? Yeah, I’m not pleased. I think I’ll use it for another week or so and then go back to Fiberwig mascara. Have you ever tried this mascara? What is your favorite mascara? Does it make your lashes BEAUTYFULL?

I want to vacay~ | My Travel Makeup Bag
I wish I was vacationing right now, basking in the warm sun and snorkeling with the colorful fish… It’s been almost one year since my last vacation to Kauai. I don’t think I’ll be able to go again this year but I MIGHT go to Korea in the fall with my mama. I’ll keep you updated on that.
Well in honor of vacationing season, I’ve decided to feature my travel makeup bag! I think it was a year or two ago when I was at Victoria’s Secret and laid eyes on this beauty. It’s pink! It’s quilted! It’s perfect! AND it was on SALE!
I use the smaller one as my everyday makeup bag. The large one is for travel only. And yup, that’s my baby in the back. Isn’t she cute? One thing that I don’t like about my travel bag is that it takes up a lot of room in my suitcase. But I think it’s definitely worth it to have such a cute carrier for my makeup. Here is a closer picture.
What kind of bag do you use while traveling? And if you could vacation anywhere in the world right now, where would you want to go?
Wishing I was on a beautyfull vacation… <3

Maybelline Quad in Lavender Fields
Today was such a BEAUTYFULL Sunday here in Seattle! The weather was absolutely gorgeous. Before heading over to church Max and I stopped by McDonalds for some iced coffee (vanilla is my favorite!) when I spotted that they were giving away “How to Train a Dragon” toys with happy meals! Max, being the sweetie that he is, bought me a happy meal just so that I could have the toy! Meet my new dragon friend, Toothless! I’ve been playing with him all day! (^ _ ^)
Me and Toothless! (Yes, my no makeup face w/just mascara, hehe)
Maybelline Eyeshadow Quad: Lavendar Fields
Okay, so on to business! I’ve heard lots of raves about the Maybelline eyeshadow quads so I picked one up in “Lavender Fields”.
I don’t know if it’s just this particular one… but the pigmentation is incredibly disappointing. I get very frustrated when it takes great effort to make an eyeshadow appear on the lid. To show you what I mean, here is my attempt to swatch the four colors on the back of my hand.
As you can see, the only eyeshadow that you can really see is the “outer corner” one. The other ones just look like white glitter/shimmer… Here is a swatch on my fingers.
It’s also a bit too glittery for my taste. After the failure of this eyeshadow, I was tempted to try the other quads since they got good reviews, but I’ve concluded that I should stick with what I know and like. I usually go with MAC but some other ones that I like are Urban Decay (minus the glittery ones), Smashbox, and LORAC.
Have you tried the Maybelline quads? Let me know which one you got and if you’d recommend it.
Yay, for a beautyfull Sunday! (^ v ^)

I’m a sucker for cute packaging | Tokidoki Prisma Lipgloss
If I’m shopping at Sephora, I’m pretty loyal to Bare Escentuals Buxom lipgloss. I love the texture, the scent and even the cool, tingly feeling. But when I was browsing around the store the other day, my eyes fell on the new tokidoki line. SO CUTE! I knew I HAD to get something so I ended up picking up two lipglosses! Oh my goodness, it’s the cutest lipgloss packaging I have EVER seen!
Samba and Donutella
On the left is Donutella a nude gloss. Samba is a peachy pink gloss.
Samba
Donutella
The lid comes with confetti and the cartoon character. Donutella is what I can only describe as “donut girl”. Samba is a cute baby monkey.
The bendy plastic application tip is a new experience to me. I’m really liking it compared to the regular sponge doe foot applicator.
All of the glosses smell like blueberries. Sometimes it smells good to me and sometimes it doesn’t. The texture is a bit thicker but not really sticky. Though the color may look extreme from the outside, the glosses are very sheer. You can wear it alone or over lipstick. The price is $15 each, cheaper than my all time fav, Buxom lipgloss which is $18. Also, it really does make my lips look plumper!
Overall, I’m liking the tokidoki Prisma Lipgloss. I think it’s definitely worth trying out. And come on, how can you resist the adorable packaging?? (^ v ^)
Let me know what you think!
Have a beautyfull day! <3

Revlon Lipstick in Soft Nude
I’ve seen some good reviews on Revlon’s Soft Nude lipstick so I got one for myself. It’s pretty similar to MAC’s Myth so I decided to do a swatch comparison.
Revlon Soft Nude on left | MAC Myth on right
As you can see in the swatch, Soft Nude is a bit peachier than Myth. I find that it’s less drying than Myth and also the color is more practical. On my complexion, Myth can sometimes look like concealer.
This is Revlon Soft Nude
And here is MAC Myth
I recommend Revlon’s Soft Nude if you’re looking for a wearable, affordable nude lipstick. I will definitely be repurchasing this lipstick! This doesn’t mean that I will abandon Myth. I still love wearing it in the summer time under different glosses. (^ v ^)
Hope this was helpful! Let me know if you’ve also tried this lipstick.
Have a beautyfull day!

Already broken! | M.A.C’s Prep For Color
Oh my goodness! Remember the bag that I purchased in my last post? And remember how I thought that the chain strap that it came with was pretty useless? Well, I was right! I admit I was lazy and had not changed the strap yet. I wanted to take my bag out today for the first time and just used the chain strap that it came with. A couple hours, I accidentally yanked on the chain (not even that hard) and it BROKE! Boooo to you, tacky cheap chain!
I picked up a couple eyeshadows from MAC’s Prep for Color:
The winners were: Prepped for Glamour (right) & Hey (left)

Look familiar? Yup, me too. Prepped for Glamour is very similar to Satin Taupe. Since I love Satin Taupe and use it very often, I don’t mind having two of practically the same thing.
Above: Prepped for Glamour on left, Satin Taupe on right
Below: Satin Taupe swatch on left, Prepped for Glamour swatch on right
Hey is very similar to Naked Lunch and Stila’s Kitten. I don’t own either of these so I’m happy with the purchase.
The last couple days I’ve used Hey as a highlighter, Prepped for Glamour on the lid and either Mystery or Blackberry for my crease. I’m loving it!!
The one eyeshadow from this line that I did not pick up was Sorcery, a reddish mid-tone brown. I’m thinking about going back and picking it up… hehe.
URBAN DECAY PROMO CODE (^ v ^)
And look! It pays off to visit my site! I found out that Urban Decay is having a Friends and Family Sale. Through April 6th-19th, if you use the promo code: 1SFNF, you can receive 30% off your entire purchase! I use the Urban Decay Primer Potion almost everyday and also am a fan of Sin the eyeshadow.
What do you like from Urban Decay?
Hope you are having a beautyfull weekend! <3

My Very First LUSH Haul!
I finally did it!
Over the past few years, I’ve gone into the LUSH store countless times determined to walk out with something only to leave empty handed. Why, you ask? It has got to be the smell of the store. I think all the scents combine to create a super powerful smell that I just can’t handle. I usually leave after the first 5-10 minutes, just overwhelmed. BUT, this week was a different story. I caught a cold last Sunday and it has deadened my sense of smell! So when I went to the mall on Wednesday I was able to stay in the store and actually shop! I used my Maximus (BF) as a tester and would hold up bath bombs to him to ask him if it was good or not (what a trooper!). Here’s what I ended up with.
Descriptions from the LUSH site:
Blackberry Bath Bomb: A purple, blackberry scented bath bomb for a burst of cheeriness on a dreary day. Ickle Baby Bot Bath Bomb: Lavender and chamomile sleep-inducing bath for kids, cunningly disguised as a robot. Hippy Chick Bath Bomb: Wake yourself up with a refreshing, grapefruit-scented fizzing birdy.
I’m so excited to try these out!!
Additional purchases include this cute clutch/bag from Aldo. I LOVE everything about it except for the gold strap it came with. So what I did was buy this necklace so I can replace it! (^ _ ^)
The Bag! So cute!
The original chain it came with = BOOO!!
The necklace I bought to replace the strap of the bag = Hooray!
Hope your day is BEAUTYFULL!!
